My Story
I became a psychiatrist to do exactly this.
My path to psychiatry was not a straight line — and I think that's part
of what makes me a better doctor. Before medical school, I worked at
Boston Medical Center supporting young children at the Grow Clinic,
advocated for food-insecure families as a National Hunger Fellow, and
spent time at the WHO in Geneva studying the social determinants of health.
I came into medicine already convinced that context matters — that who you
are, where you live, and what you've been through shapes your mental health
just as much as biology does.
"I started this practice in 2020 because I wanted more time to truly
listen, more flexibility to treat the whole person, and a level of warmth
that makes every patient feel like a partner in their own care."
I earned my medical degree from the University of Colorado School of
Medicine — Presidential Scholar and Gold Humanism Award recipient — then
completed my adult residency at the University of Chicago and child
psychiatry fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital.
Outside the office, I value faith, family, and community. I love cooking,
great films, live music, and staying active — the things that keep me
grounded and fully present for the people who trust me with their care.
